Texans, Lady Texans Ready for National Track Meet
(May 14, 2008) The South Plains College men's track and field team will defend their national title, while the Lady Texans team will look to make school history this weekend as SPC hosts the NJCAA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Levelland.
SPC To Host NJCAA National Outdoor Meet
(May 8, 2008) South Plains College will put an exclamation point on its year-long 50th Anniversary celebration as the Levelland school hosts the 2008 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Outdoor Track and Field Meet May 15-17 on the SPC campus.
SPC Honors Athletes at Banquet
(Apr. 28, 2008) South Plains College student-athletes were honored at the annual All-Sports Banquet Monday. This year, the athletic department hosted a "Champions Barbecue" and the event was held outdoors. The banquet included a BBQ dinner and the presentation of awards to athletes, managers, trainers and cheerleaders.

The South Plains College Texans claimed the school's first-ever National Championship in basketball with a 67-56 win over Salt Lake (UT) CC Saturday at the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan

Jonathan Hall scored 24 points and Luciano de Souza added 21 as the South Plains College Texans moved one win away from a National Championship with a 77-65 victory over Seward County (Kan.) Friday night in the semifinals of the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan.

The South Plains College women's cross country team placed fourth and the SPC men were seventh at the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships Saturday at Rend Lake College in Ira, Illinois.

The South Plains College men's cross country team won the NJCAA Region V championship Saturday in El Paso.
SPC Sweeps Cross Country Team Titles
The South Plains College men's and women's cross country teams both won titles at the Subway/South Plains College Cross Country Festival Saturday in Levelland.
