South Plains Handles Clarendon 99-77

CLARENDON – The South Plains College men's basketball team remained unbeaten on the year with a 99-77 win over the Clarendon College Bulldogs Thursday in a Western Junior College Athletic Conference contest in Clarendon.

The Texans (16-0 overall, 4-0 conference) are ranked No. 3 in the nation and will have a crucial game at Odessa College on Monday.

Against Clarendon, SPC jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They led 52-33 at halftime.

Every SPC player scored in the game, led by Nick Okorie's 25 points. Also for the Texans, Luciano de Souza added 15, Lu Griffin scored 14, David Tairu had 12, Hugh Mingo had 9, Jonathan Hall scored 7, Ladarius Hall added 5, Carols Dos Santos had 4, Philip Outley scored 3, Landon Tatum and Kendrick Johnson both added 2 and Tiago Jabur chipped in 1.
