Texans Win Again 100-50

For the second straight day, the South Plains College Texans had a 50-point victory as they defeated Coastal Bend College 100-50 at the McDonald's Classic in Levelland.

The Texans (4-0) completely dominated Coastal Bend, outrebounding the Cougars 71-31 and holding the visitors to 24 percent shooting.

Five SPC players scored in double figures. David Tairu led the way with 20 points, while Jonathan Hall scored 12, Luciano de Souza had 11, Hugh Mingo and Nick Okorie each scored 10, Kendrick Johnson had 9, Lu Griffin scored 8, Carlos Dos Santos had 6, Phillip Outley and Ladarius Hall both added 5, and Landon Tatum scored 4.

Brandon Garcia led Coastal Bend with 11 points.

The Texans will be back in action Tuesday as they host Wayland Baptist University JV at 7 p.m.
