Texans Start Arizona Road Trip With Win

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The No. 4 ranked South Plains College Texans had five players score in double figures in a 98-79 win over Phoenix (AZ) College Thursday in Arizona. The game was the first of three the Texans will play during a three-day span in Arizona.

South Plains (13-0) had not played a game since Dec. 6, but they came out strong in the first half and built a 52-28 lead at halftime.

Jonathan Hall led SPC with 17 points, while David Tairu added 14, Luciano de Souza and Nick Okorie both scored 13, and Lu Griffin added 11.

The Texans will take on Mesa (AZ) Friday at 7 p.m. (MST).
