SPC Men Defeat San Jac 83-72

HOUSTON – The South Plains College Texans improved to 2-0 with an 83-72 victory over San Jacinto College Saturday in Houston.

The Texans had a 35-34 halftime lead thanks to the rebounding of Jonathan Hall and Lu Griffin.

Nick Okorie led SPC with 20 points, while Jonathan Hall added 19, David Tairu scored 15, and Griffin finished with 6 points and 13 rebounds.

South Plains will be back in action Friday and Saturday as they host the McDonald's Classic at the Texan Dome. SPC will take on Lubbock Christian University JV Friday at 7 p.m., and on Saturday the Texans will face Coastal Bend College at 3 p.m.
