Texans Pound LCU JV 108-65

LEVELLAND – The defending NJCAA National Champions wasted no time dispensing the Lubbock Christian JV, as the Texans had five players score in double figures Monday night at the Texan Dome.

The Texans, who led at halftime 42-29, outscored LCU by thirty points in the second half on their way to the 108-65 rout.

Sophmores Hugh Mingo and Markhuri Sanders-Frison led the way for the Texans, scoring 20 points each. Mingo hit 3/3 from beyond the arc, and Sanders-Frison made 9/12 shots. David Tairu scored 18 points, including making 8/9 free throws. Myles Walker and Landon Tatum were the other Texans scoring in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Also for the Texans, forward Bo Ingram scored 9 points, Antwain Thomas added 6, Brandon Pitts 4, Ladarius Hall 3, and Philip Outley, Josip Vranes, and Allan Thomas each scored 2 points.

The Texans will be hosting the SPC Classic November 7- 8. On Friday at 7:00PM the Texans will host Baltimore City CC, and on Saturday SPC will host Lon Morris at 1:00PM.
