South Plains College to Host Texan Classic November 14-15

LEVELLAND, Texas – South Plains College basketball will be playing host to the Texan Classic this weekend at the Texan Dome.

The Texans, who are 3-0 this season, face Temple College on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

"Temple will be the best team we have faced so far this season," says Texan head coach Steve Green, "They are a very offensive minded team that likes to push the ball hard, attack the glass, and speed up the tempo. We have to handle the ball well and get good shots."

Temple brings a 4-1 record to the Texan Dome and is averaging almost 106 points per contest, while allowing their opponents to score an average of 84 points per game. The Texans are averaging nearly 90 points per game and giving up only 72.

The Texans will square off with Coastal Bend on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
