Texans End SPC Classic Victoriously, Move to 3-0 on Season
LEVELLAND – With three players scoring more than 20 points, the South Plains Texans were able to push past Lon Morris College 94-74, Saturday afternoon. The Texans, who only led by two points at halftime, used a second half surge to dominate the game.
The Texans were led by freshman Bo Ingram, sophomore pre-season All-American David Tairu, and sophomore post Markhuri Sanders-Frison. Ingram scored 24 points, including nailing 5/7 three point attempts. Tairu added 23 points and four assists, and Sanders-Frison scored 21 and brought down ten rebounds. Adding eight points for South Plains College were freshmans Myles Walker and Antwain Thomas, and sophomore Hugh Mingo. Sophomore guard Landon Tatum chipped in with two points and six assists.
Up next for South Plains is the Texan Classic, scheduled for November 14-15, 2008.
