Texans Steamroll Weatherford College 114-68

LEVELLAND, Texas - The South Plains College Texans dominated the Weatherford College Coyotes from the opening tip Saturday at the Texan Dome. The Texans raced out to a 54-39 halftime lead and did not slow down one bit in the second half, outscoring their opponent by 31 points after intermission.
South Plains had seven players score in double figures, led by freshman forward Bo Ingram's 17 points. Freshman post Myles Walker added 15 points and two blocked shots, Hugh Mingo tallied 14 points, while Markhuri Sanders-Frison scored 13, pulled down seven rebounds and blocked two shots. The other Texans scoring in double figures were David Tairu with 13, Landon Tatum adding 11, and Ladarius Hall with 10. Also for SPC, Antwain Thomas scored seven points, Tramar Sutherland added six, Romel Kemp scored five, and Philip Outley three.
South Plains, now 6-0 on the season, will travel to Temple, Texas to take on the Temple College Leopards on Monday, November 24 at 5:30 p.m. South Plains defeated Temple 107-77 on November 14th at the Texan Dome.
