Five Texans Named All-Conference
Five members of the South Plains College men's basketball team were named All-Conference in a vote of the coaches in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
Freshman guard Steve Harley and sophomore post Victor Ramalho were both named to the First Team, while freshman Jeremy Baker, freshman Jermaine Bolden and sophomore Kendall Clark were all named Honorable Mention. In addition, Harley was named to the All-Region team from Region V.
Harley finished the year averaging 20.7 points per game. He scored in double figures in 31 of SPC's 32 games this year. Ten times he scored between 10-19 points, 18 times he scored between 20-29 points, one time he scored between 30-39 points, and once he scored at least 40 points.
Ramalho averaged 7.2 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. Baker averaged 7.9 points and 5.5 rebounds. Bolden averaged 10.1 points and 4.5 assists. Clark averaged 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds. |
