Texans Finish Roadtrip With Win

HOBBS, N.M - The South Plains College men's basketball team improved their record to 11-3 with an easy 95-76 victory over Pima (AZ) Saturday in Hobbs, N.M.

The win finished off a week-long roadtrip through Arizona and New Mexico for SPC. The Texans went 3-1 in their four games.

Against Pima, the Texans led 42-27 at halftime and had four players score in double figures.

Lu Griffin led SPC with 18 points, while Jonathan Hall added 17 points, Steve Harley scored 13 and Nick Okorie added 11.

The Texans will open WJCAC play Jan. 13 at home against Frank Phillips College.
