South Plains Hammers WTC 84-57
SNYDER – Four players scored in double figures as the South Plains College Texans rolled past the Western Texas College Westerners 84-57 Thursday in Snyder.
The Texans are now 13-4 overall and 2-1 in WJCAC play. Western Texas fell to 8-6 and 0-1.
South Plains shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and raced out to a 40-24 halftime lead. Seven different SPC players scored in the first half, led by Steven Harley's 12 points. The Texans continued to pour it on in the second half, shooting over 60 percent and scoring 44 points.
Constantin Motnii led SPC with 19 points, while Harley added 18, Nick Okorie scored 13 and Delawn Armwood had 11. Also for SPC, Jonathan Hall had 9, Lu Griffin scored 7, Luciano de Souza added 4, Justin Brown had 2 and Jermaine Bolden scored 1.
For Western Texas, Derron Gray had 16 points and Wayne Burton added 10.
