SPC Honors Olympians
Renny Quow of Tobago had a welcome home from the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing that he is not likely to forget.
Quow Places 7th at Olympics
Current South Plains College student Renny Quow is competing in track and field at the Beijing Olympics in China. Quow, who helped lead SPC to the 2008 NJCAA National Championship, is representing his home country of Trinidad/Tobago.
Sundown's Heffley Signs With Lady Texans
One of the top track and field athletes in West Texas has signed a letter of intent to run track at South Plains College. Kayla Heffley of Sundown made her decision official during a special signing ceremony June 18 at the Texan Dome T-Club Room.

Beene Named NJCAA Coach of the Year
South Plains College head track and field coach Chris Beene has been named the 2008 NJCAA Division I Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year.

The South Plains College men's track and field team won their second-straight National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championship Saturday at the NJCAA National Meet held in Levelland.
