Coach Wyatt is in her third year as head coach of the Lady Texans after serving as an assistant at SPC for six years. Before coming to SPC, she was an assistant at Wayland Baptist and Hutchinson Community College and a graduate assistant at Texas Christian University.

CAMP ACTIVITIES

The camp will consist of drills, contests and game situations. which will help each girl improve her basketball skills. Time will be devoted to Let's Talk Basketball, a session will stress attitude, desire, leadership and enthusiasm. Tounrnament games will be played each day.

PURPOSE OF THE CAMP

The primary purpose of the Lady Texan Basketball Camp at South Plains college is to provide young women an opportunity to improve thier basketball skills. the camp program stresses fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, self-confidence and team play. High school age campers will have the opportunity to work on team concepts. The camp is set up to accomodate both day and overnight campers. Day campers may commute daily from thier homes to the SPC Levelland campus, while overnight campers may spend the week on campus in a college resident hall.

DATES OF THE CAMP

Two summer basketball camps will be held on the campus of South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. The first camp begins with registration at 2 p.m. June 8 and concludes at 2 p.m. June 13, 2008. The second camp begins at 2 p.m. June 15 and concludes at 2 p.m. on June 20, 2008.

COST OF THE CAMP

Costs are:
$275 for overnight campers with meals
$235 for day campers with meals
$170 for day campers

YOU MUST COMPLETE CAMP IN ORDER TO RECIEVE ANY AWARD OR CAMP BASKETBALL.

Camp applications will be accepted as they are recieved and should be returned as soon as possible. A $75.00 deposit must be returned with the camp application, and the remaining balance due at registration. THE CAMP DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. ONCE THE CAMP HAS STARTED, THE REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE FOR ANY CAMPER THAT LEAVES THE CAMP VOLUNTARILY.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Campers hould bring bed sheets, pillow, blanket, towels, proper workout clothing (Shorts and T-shirts), socks, basketball shoes, personnal toilet articles, casual clothes, swim suit and spending money. Each camper must bring a signed statment for her parents stating that she is physically fit to participate in camp activities. Should any camp participant need medical attention while at SPC, Covenant Hospital Levelland and local physicians' office are located nerby.

Campers must remain on SPC campus during the week unless involved in an organized camp activity or enrolled as a day camper. A concession stand will be open during breaks and campers may also purchase additional camp t-shirts.

VARISTY GIRL'S TEAM CAMP
July 27-29, 2008

* Cost for the overnight camp is $1,200 per team up to 10 players, $120 for each player thereafter, cost includes (for team and one coach) dorm rooms, meals, camp t-shirts.

* Cost for day camp is $800 per team up to 10 players, $80 for each player thereafter, cost includes everything except dorm rooms and meals.
* A $500 deposit will be required to register your team.
* Coaches will be responsible for supervision of their teams in the dorms.
* Registration will be Sunday, July 27 and the camp will conclude Tuesday afternoon, July 29.
* Teams will play 8-10 games.
* Further information will be sent after you registered your team.
* Registration deadline is July 3. Camp is limited to 32 teams
