Lady Texans Drop Second Straight

LUFKIN – For the second straight night, the South Plains College Lady Texans lost a close road game, falling to Angelina College 76-73 Friday in Lufkin.

Less than 24 hours after falling by two points at Temple College, the Lady Texans were back on the court in East Texas. SPC trailed 29-28 at halftime and never could get over the hump in the second half. The Lady Texans did hit nine 3-pointers including three each by Ashley Frazier and Rachel Gray, but it wasn't enough.

Brittany Blackmon and Shaniqua Henderson both scored 18 points to pace SPC, while Gray added 15, Frazier had 11, Mariame Djouara scored 7, and Krystal Davis and Haruka Nagado each added 2.
