SPC Ladies Defeat Eastern Utah 82-64

RANGELY, Colo. – Freshman Shaniqua Henderson recorded a triple-double to lead the South Plains College Lady Texans to an 82-64 win over the College of Eastern Utah in the final game of the Colorado Northwestern Community College Classic Saturday in Rangely, Colo.

Henderson had 17 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists for the Lady Texans, who improved to 7-2 on the season. She was one of three SPC players who had double figures in scoring and rebounding. Brittany Blackmon added 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Mariame Djoura had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Also for the Lady Texans, Chasity Workman and McKensie East both scored 8, Krystal Davis had 7 and Rachel Gray added 3.

The Lady Texans went 2-0 at the CNCC Classic, beating Colorado Northwestern 99-50 on Friday. They have won 5 in a row and will open WJCAC play Thursday in Borger against Frank Phillips College.
