No. 14 Lady Texans Win 10th Straight
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The No. 14 ranked South Plains College Lady Texans won their tenth-straight game, defeating Scottsdale (AZ) College 75-66 Thursday in Arizona.
The Lady Texans, who have not lost since Nov. 9, led 33-29 at halftime and stretched their lead in the second half thanks to the hot hand of guard Mariame Djouara and wing Shaniqua Henderson.
Djouara led SPC (12-2) with 21 points, while Henderson added 19 points and 10 rebounds. Also for South Plains, Ashley Frazier had 15 points and 10 assists, Brittany Blackmon added 10 points, Rachel Gray and McKinsie East both scored 4 and Krystal Davis chipped in 2.
The Lady Texans will spend the next two days in Yuma, Ariz., competing in the Arizona Western Wells Fargo Classic.
