Lady Texans Defeat Hastings JV 85-42

Colby, KS - The South Plains College Lady Texans improved to 6-0 on the season by knocking off the Hastings Lady Broncos JV squad Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Taniqua Ards led the way for the Lady Texans, scoring 16 points. Sophmore wing Rachel Gray scored 14, Sajoyia Griffin gave the Lady Texans a boost by coming off the bench and scoring 13 points. Christen McLee and Samiesha Williams each added ten points. Also for SPC, Briana Goss and Dayon Hall-Jones each scored six, while Tasheena Byrd added four. Chasity Workman, Lashanda Luckey, and McKinsie East scored two points each.

The Lady Texans next play at the Odessa Classic November 14-15. On Friday, November 14 South Plains College will face San Jacinto at 5:00PM. On Saturday they play Eastern Arizona at 2:00PM.
