SPC Lady Texans Hold Off Barton

COLBY, Kan. — Dominic Seals scored 25 points and Ashlee Roberson added 22 as the South Plains College Lady Texans defeated Barton County (KS) 88-76 in the Colby College Ambassador Classic in Kansas Friday afternoon.

SPC (5-0) trailed 36-34 at halftime, but the inside presense of Seals and Roberson helped the Lady Texans pull away for the 12-point victory. Roberson added 11 rebounds and 4 assists, while Seals had 9 rebounds.

Mariame Djouara scored 16 points for South Plains, while Alana Rumph added 8, Ashley Frazier had 7 points and 5 assists, Brittany Blackmon scored 6, and A.J. Adams and Ashely Malone each added 2.

The Lady Texans will finish the Ambassador Classic with a noon game against Pratt (KS) on Saturday.
