Lady Texans Rally Past Northern Oklahoma

LEVELLAND — The South Plains College Lady Texans stayed unbeaten with a 65-56 win over Northern Oklahoma College on the final day of the Breakfast Rotary Tournament in Levelland Saturday.

South Plains (3-0) trailed by one (25-24) at halftime and were down 49-45 with 5:56 remaining in the game before rallying for the win.

Sophomore Alana Rumph went five of six from the free throw line and finished with 14 points. Freshman Ashley Frazier had 12 points and hit a couple of 3-pointers, one of which gave the Lady Texans the lead with just over five minutes left in the game. Ashlee Roberson added 11 points, Mariame Djouara had 9, Brittany Blackmon had 7 points and 18 rebounds, Dominic Seals added 7 points and 13 rebounds, and A.J. Adams scored 5.

For Northern Oklahoma (1-2), Kadee Carter scored 13 points and Brianne Grisham added 10.
