South Plains Whips Scottsdale 74-38

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The South Plains College Lady Texans basketball team finished off their three-game roadtrip through Arizona with a 74-38 win over Scottsdale College Thursday.

The Lady Texans, ranked No. 3 in the nation, went 3-0 on the roadtrip and improved to 16-0 for the season.

South Plains led 40-14 at halftime and once again every Lady Texan scored.

Brittany Blackmon led SPC with 13 points; Ashlee Roberson had 12 points and 8 rebounds; Ashely Malone had 10 points and 5 assists; Mariame Djouara and Dominic Seals each added 8 points; Ashley Frazier, A.J. Adams and Erica Knight all scored 6 points; Alana Rumph had 2 points and 6 steals; Courtney Miller had 2 points; and Krystal Davis scored 1.

The Lady Texans will open conference play on Jan. 13 at home against Frank Phillips College at 5 p.m.
