SOUTH PLAINS COLLEGE

Pre-Physical Therapy Curriculum

SPC Logo

(SPC home page)

SPC offers many of the pre-requisite courses necessary for application to a School of Physical Therapy in Texas.  Students can generally complete up to 66 semester hours of the required hours at SPC before transferring to a university.   The remainder of hours (generally a bachelor's degree) must be completed at a 4-year university.  Students should be aware of specific requirements for each school of Physical Therapy to which they will be making an application.  See list below of mailing and URL addresses to obtain information from the various schools.

Each Physical Therapy school has requirements pertaining to Grade Point Average and grades in required courses.  Also, most schools require prospective students to complete observation/work experience hours prior to application.  See table pertaining to these requirements below.  This table is only a guideline and specific requirements may change.  Be sure to contact each school to find out their requirements at the time of your application.

Listed below are the appropriate courses offered by South Plains College that students interested in Pre-physical Therapy can take.  NOTE: there are more courses available than a student can take and stay under the 66 maximum hours from a community college!
