The Cell

Getting Started

Read pages 30 – 42 from Chapter 3 in the Textbook.

Objectives

  1. Know the individuals who contributed to the cell theory and the three main points to the cell theory.
  2. Know the following organelles and cell parts: cell wall, plasma membrane, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, dictyosome, ribosome, plastids, mitochondria, and microtubules.
  3. Know the basic differences between a prokaryote and eukaryote cell.
  4. Understand the importance and differences between a primary cell wall and secondary cell wall.
