Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. This
course gives the student practical general training and experiences
in the workplace. The college, with the employer, develops and
documents an individualized plan for the student. The plan
relates the workplace training and experiences to the student's
general and technical course of study. The guided external
experiences may be paid or unpaid. This course may be repeated
if topics and learning outcomes vary. |

Security Development (4:3:2:) |
This course focuses on the
development of information security
policies, standards and guidelines for an organization. It includes
Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), antivirus, Virtual Private Network (VPN), wireless
communications, remote access and other critical administrative
vulnerabilities and appropriate countermeasures area addressed.
Emphasizes wireless security goals of availability, integrity
accuracy, and confidentiality in the design, planning, implementing,
operating, and troubleshooting of wireless LAN along with
appropriate panning and administrative controls. |
