TESTING INFORMATION :
According to Texas State law, a student must be EXEMPT or have taken an approved placement test (THEA, ACCUPLACER, COMPASS, OR ASSET) prior to registering for college level coursework. It may take several weeks for scores to be returned to you so please consider this in your planning.

ALL students must have taken a placement test or proof of exemption before participating in the New Student Experience.

If you have not tested, click here and you can find out infomation on how to sign up for a test.

Students who have not tested and are not exempt will not be allowed to register without test scores.

     TAAS Scores no older than 3 years: Reading 89; Math 86; Writing 1770

     TAKS  - Math 2200 or higher English and Language arts- 2200 or higher and  3 or higher on essay                       

     ACT Scores no older than 5 years: English 19; Math 19, Composite 23

     SAT Scores no older than 5 years: Verbal 500; Math 500; Combined 1070

     I am currently serving in the Armed Forces or National Guard (active or reserve)

     Honorably Discharged , released from active duty or retired on or after August 1, 1990

     Enrolling in a TSI waived certificate program (see catalog for details)
