Equipment and Facilities |

Students
enrolled in Video Production Technology work with the same state-of-the-art
equipment used by professionals in the field. The studio features
advanced video equipment including DVcam and DVD recording equipment,
Grass Valley switcher and graphics, Sony digital DXC-D30 and DSR-370
professional studio cameras and a 20-foot boom camera. An AVID
video-editing lab is part of the post-production suite. |

A
computer lab is available for computer graphics training. The
program's DMX lighting system is designed to meet the critical
demands of video recording and concert performance. Intellabeams,
trackspots, a hazer, a Hog light board provide up-to-date
training in articulated lighting concepts. The audio system is
totally digital and features two Mackie D8B mixing consoles with
a Mackie HDR 24/96 digital hard disk recorder. A Mac Motu G4 digital
audio workstation, microphones and sound reinforcement and monitoring
equipment are also accessible. |

The
cornerstone of the program is the Tom T. Hall Production Studio
- a 3,600 square foot production center featuring the latest in
audio video and lighting equipment. The versatile studio serves
as a large sound stage and accommodates performances with live
audiences of up to 300 people. Adjoining the production studio
is the Redd Stewart Television Studio that is used by students
as a project laboratory. Audio and video control rooms complete
the production studio complex in the Creative Arts Building. |
