The Video Production Technology program is designed to provide individuals with preparation and experience for entry-level video production technical positions. Graduates will possess basic knowledge of techniques, procedures and operation of equipment used in the video production industry. This includes training in television and audio production, graphics, lighting, editing and stagecraft. Proper operation of production equipment is emphasized. You begin learning production techniques by creating short-form productions including music videos and commercials. During the second year, projects include events such as full-scale music concerts and production of variety shows for cable television. Tom Stalcup is the VPT Program Coordinator. He and Greg Cook are the instructors in the program. |
