Jay Hicks, program director and film buyer of KDUB-TV, Lubbock, Texas, joined the station when it hit the air in October 1952.  He is a graduate of Texas Western University, having majored in history.  Jay got his start in radio at WBML, Macon, Ga., in 1944 after his discharge from the Army.  Returning to his native El Paso, Texas he took the position of program director at KEPO, spending four years there before going to KDUB-TV.  Jay is married and has two children.

Jack Hicks (sic), program manager at KDUB-TV, comes to Lubbock from San Antonio where he held down a film director's job.  He is originally from El Paso where he worked a number of years in radio.  Previous experience includes an Atlanta, Ga., radio station where he met his wife.  They have two children.
