This interview was conducted in 1992 by John Sparks.  Mr. Rogers tells about how KDUB-TV got started, how the grand opening was to be a complete surprise and how the people of Lubbock switched on "their" new television station.


Prairie Dog Town (Real Video)
Get the facts about the 600 or so P-Dogs that make Prairie Dog Town their home.  The fella on the left is Prairie Dog Pete who was used by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce to promote Lubbock to the rest of the world.


KDUB-TV (Real Video)
See the behind the scenes action at KDUB-TV.  Meet the station employees and see the famous actors and actresses that helped raise money for the March of Dimes.  This footage is from the "Our Town Lubbock" series.  Tape: WDR-4 "Our Town Lubbock"


KDUB-TV Open House (Real Video, no sound)
When KDUB moved into their permanent location at 7400 College Ave. (7400 S. University Ave.) the public was invited to tour the studios.  This is film from the 1953 opening.  It includes black & white as well as color film, but there is no sound.


John F. Kennedy Campaign Stop (Real Video)
In 1960 the Presidential Campaign for John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson arrived at the Lubbock Airport.  This program lasts about an hour and features speeches from LBJ and JFK as well as George Mahon.
