SUMMARY

Coordinate, implement and promote sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking awareness and prevention activities on campus.  

LOCATION:

Position is located on the Levelland Campus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:

Provide training on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking to students, faculty and staff

Develop strong relationships with victim services providers, campus law enforcement and local law enforcement

Develop multifaceted prevention strategies within the campus community and ensure implementation of prevention strategies as well as bystander intervention program

Provide personal and crisis counseling for students

Refer students to appropriate internal and external resources that foster student success

Responsible for development and adherence to Health and Wellness Department budget

Assist with all events conducted by or including services of the Department of Health and Wellness

Actively participate in professional development opportunities and professional organizations, as well as college-wide committees, etc.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement and improve health and wellness outreach

Maintain a referral network of services available to students in the region and be able to assist students in accessing appropriate services

Provide consultation support for faculty and staff

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. Experience working with sexual assault, domestic and dating violence.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts and develop statistical information. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
