Primary responsibility is grounds projects. A project is defined as the installation of a permanent improvement as designated by the Grounds Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read and understand plans.
Build forms for pouring concrete.
Pour and finish concrete.
Lay brick for patios and planters.
Must have some knowledge of electrical wiring and plumbing.
Safely operate various types of grounds equipment. (Tractor, mower, loader, ditcher, packer, edger, backpack blower, shovel, etc.)
Aid Irrigation Specialist in installation of irrigation systems, stations, controllers and wiring.
On snowy or icy days reports for work at 7:00 a.m. and helps with snow and ice removal.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities except as assigned by Grounds Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
Ability to read drawings, plans, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,
and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or

Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license and insurability.
