LAW ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY

 

Offered on the Levelland and Reese Center Campuses

 

The Law Enforcement Technology program is specifically designed to prepare the student to begin a career with local, county, state= and federal law enforcement agencies.  This educational program develops the skills needed to begin and progress through a career in law enforcement.  Students seeking a career that req= uires a baccalaureate degree should refer to the Criminal Justice program.  A student who completes this curri= culum will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree.  The program also awards an Enhanced Skills Certificate upon completion of additional technical courses.

 

Texas licensed peace officers, correctional officers, and jailers may receive cre= dit for the Peace Officer series and related courses (CJSA 1172, CJLE 1211, CJL= E 2324, CJLE 2520, CJLE 2421, and CJLE 2522) upon completion of all other degree requirements.

 

Program advisor is Randall Fesperman, assistant profes= sor and coordinator of law enforcement technology.
