Prerequisites:

Successful completion of MATH 2414.

                                    

Purpose of Course:          

Topics include vectors and curvilinear motion, moments, centroids, partial differentiation, multiple integrals, line integrals, surface integrals and Stokes Theorem.

           

Textbook & Calculator:       

Thomas' Calculus, alternate 9th Edition, by Thomas & Finney, and TI-85 or higher calculator.

  

Attendance:            

Attendance and effort are the most important activities for success in this course.  Records of your attendance will be maintained.  Whenever absences become excessive and, in the instructor’s opinion, minimum course objectives cannot be met, the instructor may administratively withdraw you from the course with a grade of X or F.  Refer to the General Catalog under Class Attendance and Drops & Withdrawals.

Video Tapes for several topics in this course are available in the Math Department Video Lab, in Room 116.  You are encouraged to view theses tapes, check them out, and/or duplicate them.
