MATH 2412

SOUTH PLAINS COLLEGE

  

Prerequisites:

Two units of high school algebra and a score on the mathematics section of the THEA of 230 or above (or a score on the mathematics section of the Accuplacer of 75 or above) or successful completion of MATH 1314.

                                  

Purpose of Course:          

This course covers the study of algebraic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions.  Topics in analytic geometry are covered.

           

Textbook:       

Precalculus: A Graphing Approach, 4th Edition, by Larson, Hostetler, & Edwards.

 

Attendance:            

Attendance and effort are the most important activities for success in this course.  Records of your attendance will be maintained.  Whenever absences become excessive and, in the instructor’s opinion, minimum course objectives cannot be met, the instructor may administratively withdraw you from the course with a grade of X or F.  Refer to the General Catalog under Class Attendance and Drops & Withdrawals.
