Priority Fall ’08 Admission Deadline (if applying for transfer scholarships)
March 1
· Students that plan to transfer to Texas Tech University for Summer I, Summer II or Fall 2008 and apply for transfer scholarships must apply* for admission and submit the scholarship application** by March 1.
Regular Fall ‘08 Admission Deadline
June 2
· Students that plan to transfer to Texas Tech University for Fall 2008 (but do not wish to apply for scholarships) must apply* for admission by June 2.
Summer I & II ‘08 Admission Deadline
May 1
· Students that plan to transfer to Texas Tech University for Summer I, Summer II (but do not wish to apply for scholarships) must apply* for admission by June 2.

· Prospective applicants should fill out the Scholarship Application for Incoming Transfer Students at the same time they fill out the Application for Admission at www.applytexas.org .
· Transfer admissions information is available at www.gototexastech.com and click on Undergraduate Transfers.
· Out-of-State or Non-U.S. students who are awarded a Texas Tech academic scholarship (or combination of scholarships) in the amount of $1,000 or more will also receive a waiver of the
non-resident tuition fee.
· FAFSA is available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ .

Presidential Transfer Scholarship
120 (90 for fall, 30 for spring) scholarships valued at $5,000.
The applicant must have documented financial need (must submit the *FAFSA), be transferring from a
two-year college with a minimum of 2.75 GPA and at least 24 transferable hours. The scholarship is awarded each semester ($1,250 each fall and spring semester) for a total of 4 semesters if at least a 2.50 GPA and full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours) are maintained.
Deadline: March 1 for fall transfer students (*completed FAFSA must be received by March 1)
November 15 for spring transfer students (*FAFSA must be received by November 1)

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
A varying number of scholarships valued at $ 2,000.
A minimum 3.0 GPA, 36 or more transferable hours from a two-year college and at least one full semester of membership in Phi Theta Kappa are required. Preference is given to applicants who have served Phi Theta Kappa in a significant leadership capacity. Two letters of recommendation (one from the chapter advisor) as well as documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership are required.
Scholarship is awarded each semester ($500 each fall and spring semester) for a total of 4 semesters if a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment are maintained.

Phi Theta Kappa
Leadership Award Scholarship
(One) full tuition plus $1,000 per year scholarship.
The applicant must have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to Phi Theta Kappa at the regional and/or international levels. A minimum 3.25 GPA and at least 30 transferable hours from a two-year college are required. Two letters of recommendation (one must be from Phi Theta Kappa Regional or International Headquarters) and proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership are required.
The scholarship is awarded each semester (full tuition plus $500 each fall and spring semester) for a total of 4 semesters if a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time status (12 or more credit hours) are maintained.

Marvin Jones Endowed Scholarship for Transfer Students
A varying number of scholarships and amounts.
Applicants must have both a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at your current college and a 1300 SAT or 29 ACT when using your best scores from each portion of the test(s). Special application and requirements available at http://www.honr.ttu.edu/transferscholarships/scholarships_transfer.html .
Deadline: July 1for fall transfer students, December 15 for spring transfer students

Although most scholarships at Texas Tech University accept the general Scholarship Application for Incoming Transfer Students, applicants should also contact the college or department they plan to transfer in to for additional scholarship opportunities, special applications and/or deadlines specific to their major.
