Teaching literature sparks passion in SPC professor

Teaching at South Plains College is something that Dr. Michael Felker lives for.

He has taught for 22 years on the Levelland campus. He says that he did not know he was destined to teach world literature until he lost his job at Texas Instruments in Lubbock due to a terrible recession.

 

Dancing way of life for SPC student

Going to school and working at the same time is already hard as it is, but adding to those responsibilities can be more difficult, as well as complicated.

But for Melissa Merimon, who juggles school, work and teaching dance lessons 20 hours a week, it's something that she does not struggle with.
