A-MAiZE-ING : Local farmer turns family land into fall attraction

In the beginning, the Corn MAiZE was nothing more than a piece of family-owned farmland.  Through the years, the land has evolved into a popular destination.

James and Patti Simpson have owned the piece of land near Shallowater where the MAiZE is located for many years.  In 2001, they decided to turn that land into a maze, starting what has become one of the most successful businesses in the area
