The South Plains College men’s basketball team comes into the 2009-2010 ranked No. 1 in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference and armed with great expectations for the season.

The South Plains College Lady Texans come into the 2009-2010 season with many new faces on the team, but excitement is stirring and expectations are high.

“We are excited about the upcoming season,” said SPC Lady Texans head coach Michelle Wyatt.

 

 

Women's rodeo team finishes fall season strong

The fall season for the South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo team has come to an end.

The men’s and women’s rodeo teams competed at Texas Tech University Oct. 15-17. The women’s team placed third overall with 240 points, putting them in the number two spot in the region with 1,365 points.

 

Cowboys find way to get back up

As much as I am not a Dallas Cowboys fan, I do have to give them credit.

They are doing a pretty good job this season, better than last year, that's for sure.

 

U.S. taking aim at FIFA World Cup

There are same things in life that are very rare to be able to say that you were alive to witness.

There are tragedies such as the world wars, the Vietnam War, and 9/11. There are also blissful ones, such as the fall of the Iraqi dictatorship, the Red Sox winning the World Series, and seeing snowboarding actually become an Olympic event.
