Western basketball team is no longer a secret thanks to Hollywood and their
depiction of “Glory Road”, a movie and story about five black men who
started in a collegiate basketball game for the first time ever and won the
coveted Naismith Trophy.
Lady Texans End Season in Region Championship Game

the national tournament a year ago, a repeat performance was not meant to be
for the South Plains College Lady Texans this season. SPC’s season came to
an end on March 12, after a strong finish by the team and a run to the
Championship game of the NJCAA Region V Tournament, finishing 25-6

men’s basketball team finished the season in a flourish before coming up

seasons have been full of pain and heartbreak for Johnson. After finishing

Sharp's Retirement Hardly Surprising

before the basketball season that a Hall of Fame coach in Texas was planning
on retiring at the end of the season, I probably would not have guessed it
would be Texas Tech’s woman’s basketball coach Marsha Sharp.
