Blurred vision in visual world
by Jerrod Carr, staff writer
In a visual world, vision is often taken for granted.
But in my life, vision is excepted with gratitude and open
arms. Many times I’ve asked myself, do other people see
what I see, and how I see it?
Do other
people understand what it is like to wake up one day and see
clearly, and wake up the next and not be able to see five
feet in front of you?
Troubles in Columbia may lead to higher gas prices
by Jason Hartline, staff writer
Two things that plague society are the need for oil and
war.
Considering recent events dealing with Colombia, it seems as
though these two things coincide. The conflict in South
America arose when Colombia crossed the border of Ecuador to
perform a deadly assault against the Revolutionary Armed
Forces of Colombia, a Colombian-based rebel group, a
guerilla organization also known as the FARC.
Pop culture aids in public self-destruction
by Schuyler Clark, staff writer
I find that it is pretty interesting to simply sit back and
observe the people around you, as well as those in the media
and common American idols in the world of music of music
and politics.
People’s actions say more about their
true motivations and values than anything. This is shown by
their interests in material things and how far they are
willing to go to protect their "treasure."
