Gods
of Metal Leave Mark in Lubbock
by Jacqui Streety, editor-in-chief
On
Easter Sunday, I stood in line outside of South Beach and waited to see my
favorite band. Not that I hadn’t seen them before, however, I knew that this
time, the show would be special. It seemed peculiar to me that Lamb of God
would be playing in the Bible Belt on Easter Sunday and even more peculiar
that the show was hosted by KFMX, who doesn’t even play Lamb of God.

first. The Mars Volta has once again unleashed the talent that everyone
knows they are capable of. The newest release, “Frances the Mute,” has
given listeners something to blast in the car.
'Motorcycle Diaries' a fun ride

“The
Motorcycle Diaries” is one of those rare films that makes your heart almost
burst with spirit.
It is a
dramatization of the youthful adventures of Ernesto Guevera de la Serna
(played by Gael Garcia Bernal), a restless and ideological medical student,
and Alberto Granado (played by Rodrigo de la Serna), an equally restless
biochemistry student, through the South American countryside.
