One nation no longer under God; losing core beliefs in sinful society

The empire that is known as the United States of America is recognized around the world for the freedom that we hold so dearly.

By the Constitution, we have established a land free of any governmental hierarchy in the form of a monarch, oligarchy or dictator, and have attempted to spread our wealth of democracy around the world. All that we do every day and the freedom to say the words that we say are provided for us in the first 10 amendments of the Constitution.

The basis of our long-standing government, including the ability of its citizens to participate fully in its action, is explained in the rest of the Constitution. The heart of our nation is found in the Declaration of Independence, which was the document that began a war that would free the United States of America forever and protected us from ever being under the rein or an earthly king.

In this free nation today, it is understood that all religions are accepted, and all views are respected. However the ability to do so is found in the words of this document created by a group of men in a hot hall in Pennsylvania. Furthermore, the judicial system of this country is based upon the idea of interpreting what was meant by these words. But this nation has begun to overlook the core values of these men and lose sight of the faith that was held in the hearts of the founders of freedom.

How could it be possible to take God out of the Pledge or Allegiance, remove Him from our schools and proclaim that it is not “In God We Trust” if His word is reflected in the rights that we hold dear? Between the lines of the Declaration of Independence that later inspired the Constitution, it states that we place our “reliance on the protection of Divine Providence.”

A reference to God is also found in the Declaration with regard to the natural right of all men to be free.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…”

If the Bible also proclaims that God is the creator of all the earth and so does an important document in our history, how could we allow the Constitution to be interpreted to pass laws allowing abortion, gay marriage and criticize a war that is defending the killing of innocent people under a dictator’s rule?

These are all found in the Bible to be wrong in God’s eyes, but we are on the verge of allowing these immoral ideas to become law. Our nation has forgotten where we came from, what the USA was founded on and the values that have placed it in the position as the strongest country in the world.

The Ten Commandments also state that we are to “rest on the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy.” Accordingly, the Constitution provides that in regard to a bill being passed, Sundays do not count as one of the 10 days the president has to sign a bill into law.

“If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays expected) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law…”

 It is traditionally know that Sunday is a day of rest just as God rested on the seventh day of Creation, an so shall the leader of our nation.

I do believe we should allow people from all nations and religions to come to our country, because that is what makes our country so beautiful and reflects God’s word, which teaches us to love those around us whether they are Christians or not. However, within our country, we should never forget that this is and shall remain “One Nation Under God.”

If the founders of this nation were alive today, I believe they would be appalled and feel that their words are being misused as a way to allow all views, wrong or not. The meaning behind these rights they laid out has lost their intent, which was freedom from an earthly king and the ability to freely worship our heavenly king. For it is with Jesus, we are truly free. United under God we stand, but without Him we will fall.
