Pre-registration continues until Jan. 5

Early registration for current South Plains College students and new
students began on Nov. 8 and will last until Jan. 5.
For the upcoming spring semester, 3,577 students have already enrolled in
classes. So you know that means, classes are already filling up and some
classes have already been filled and closed.
Students register by logging on to Campus
Connect using their four-digit pin number and Social Security Number. For
those students who cannot obtain access to Campus Connect at home, they can
use the
Technology Center on the SPC campus to register.
Students who are not in TSI compliance have to
go through an advisor to register. TSI compliant students can register on
their own, but can still see an advisor if they choose to.
TSI compliance is for those students who are in
developmental courses for Math, English and Reading.
“Early registration gives students the opportunity to get the classes they
wanted, and it helps them to avoid long lines at registration,” said Cathy
Mitchell, Registrar at SPC.
The deadline for payment for the spring semester
is Jan. 5. Students who do not pay by the required deadline will have their
classes dropped.
“We encourage all students and new coming
students to South Plains College to pre-register,” said Andrea Rangel, dean
of admissions and records. “We want to give current students first choice of
classes they need and want. Also we encourage students to pay by the
deadline so they don’t have to go through the dreaded arena registration.”
Pre-registration allows students to pick and choose most of their classes
and professors and takes away from the hassle of standing in long lines. All
SPC students are encouraged to register at their earliest convince.
