Business students advance to Nationals

Deniese Kidd and Ross Orman, both students at South Plains College, advanced to the National Future Business Leaders of America Leadership Conference.

The contest will be held on June 28- July 3.

Kidd and Orman are members of the SPC’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America.

Kidd placed second in word processing, while Orman placed second in principles of accounting at the Texas Future Business Leadership Conference in Port Arthur.

Kidd, a sophomore accounting major at SPC, is the daughter of Larry and Rita Brooks from Rusk. She is married to Rhett Brooks and has a year-old child, Jordyn, who live in Levelland.

Orman, a freshman business administration major at SPC and 2005 graduate of Levelland High School, is the son of Debbie Orman, the secretary to the vice president for finance and administration at SPC.

Ann Gregory, SPC professor of accounting, sponsored the trip.
