Harley Receives All-American Honors

Harley Named JUCO All-American

South Plains College freshman guard Steve Harley was named honorable mention All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association this month.

“It’s definitely an honor”, said Harley reflecting on his All-American status

The five-foot-11 guard from Temple Hills, MD, finished the year averaging 20.7 points per game, 3.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game.  He scored in double figures in 31 of SPC’s 32 games this past season including one 40-point game.

Harley was also a first team All-Western Junior College Athletic Conference and All-Region V selection this year for the Texans, who helped to a 24-8 record.

“My goal for next year is to win everything we can,” Harley said.

“Conference, Regional, and the National Championship.”

Harley is contemplating attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas after he graduates from South Plains.
