Many people refer to life as a story of triumph over adversity one young woman refers to it as just life. Her theory is that she is no different than anyone else; she just has a slightly different background.


Liz Murray grew up in a home where nobody had a job and drugs were not out of the norm.

Gypsy Cab Company goes on last ride

Local self-proclaimed “Spunk Rock” band, The Gypsy Cab Co. played their very last show on Sept. 11 at Tokyo Joe’s. Despite the fact that this was their last gig as a band, they provided the usual Gypsy Cab Co. aura—a great time. Vocalist/guitarist John Reedy took the stage with a smile and like always began with humorous commentary. They played a set list familiar to their fans and took requests for the last half of the show—a sign suggesting they have a lot of fans who know their music.

 

Looking back:  Students remember September 11

On September 11, 2001, I woke up to what I thought was an advertisement for the next box office smash. I changed the channel and noticed it was the same commercial, but more action in this one.
