by Caroline Basile, editor-in-chief
It seemed summer went way too fast for everyone,. But with
it’s close, I definitely felt ready to go back to college

Pop culture affects views on teen pregnancy by Beka Rutledge, entertainment editor
Media and the superstars it trails have continuously had a
major impact on society, and it is usually not the best of

by Daniel Clayton, opinion editor
President George W.
Bush is inadequate.
He failed our economy, and he failed us with gas prices
skirting $4 a gallon. My pocketbook is hurting, especially

newspaper in my hometown, the last two people I thought I

by Lisa Hernandez, staff writer
Those were the
days.
Getting up
early on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons is one of my

next to my brother while we watched the Power Rangers battle
monsters, or we watched to see what kind of scrapes Winnie
the Pooh could get into. I also remember that there were
only two shows in the Saturday morning line-up that were
not cartoons, and that was “Power Rangers” and the “Masked
Rider.”

people. In the town, everyone knows everyone.
I graduated with 25 people in my class.
Many people who have graduated from Wink choose to stay. We
have lots of oil field jobs available around Wink, and it is
a wonderful environment in which to raise a family.
