Star Wars: Battlefront

With the original trilogy having just been released for the first time on DVD and the anticipation building for the last installment of the saga, Lucas Arts decided to give fans of the series a chance to relive the favorite Star Wars moments.

The newest addition to the Star Wars games, Star Wars: Battlefront was released Sept. 21.
Battlefront is, essentially, a third-person shooter/ war game, that allows you to play as four different factions: the Imperial Army, the Rebel Alliance, the Separatist’s Droid Army and the Clone Army of the Republic. In other words, if you enjoy the dark side you have the choice of different Storm Troopers. All characters have their specific purpose, of course.

The game also offers a variety of beautifully rendered battlegrounds on eight separate planets. The details of the snowy hills to the evergreen forests allow the player to be a part of movie history.

It also includes a number of different free play scenarios, as well as two historical campaigns in which you can decide the fate of the universe in either the Galactic Civil War or Clone Wars.
In addition, the game’s multiplayer capabilities allow up to 32 players to battle simultaneously, which greatly adds to the replay ability factor.

Basically, Battlefront is an entertaining experience that satisfies both casual fans and die-hard aficionados alike.
