When heard that the NBA was going to start a dress code for the players and the league I was astonished. I thought to myself, is it going to work? And if it does work are the players going to agree with the league and follow the rules? 

The Future of Sports Medicine

Just ask the athletes.  Student trainers are vital to their continued success.           

The Texans have a very capable staff of student trainers and a knowledgeable instructor.  Darren Head is in his second year as head trainer at SPC, and this year he is responsible for five student trainers: Brandi Buchanan, Ashli Smith, Ben Patterson, Todd Rodriguez, and Haleigh Taylor.  He also teaches two First Aid and Safety classes as a physical education instructor. 

Sporting a Spectator's Hand

Now that the world’s attention is focused on a card game, we can finally debate whether poker is truly a sport.

While looking at one of my favorite websites the other day, I noticed that a part of the sports section was dedicated to poker.  Don’t get me wrong.  I really enjoy poker, but as a sport?  Are you kidding?
