SPC student gains strength after serious illness

No matter what obstacles and struggles Suelema Saldana faced, she managed to pull through all of them and come out on top.

Saldana, 22, a sophomore has had many hurdles in her path since she has been enrolled at South Plains College. They were not because of her classes or homework but because she had four surgeries since she arrived in the Levelland campus in January of 2005.

Dr. Carden still enthusiastic about history

When Dr. Ron Carden thinks of history, he thinks of the motivations behind the events.

 

Cedillo brings passion from Star Center to mariachi band

As he strums his guitar in his traditional mariachi outfit, one could never guess that Manuel Cedillo is an academic advisor.

Manuel Cedillo is an academic coordinator for the Star Center on South Plains College’s Levelland campus. In his spare time, he is also a member of the band Mariachi Amistad.
